A Quickie with Steph Broadribb

Tell me about your latest book and why we should read it?

My latest book is my debut novel DEEP DOWN DEAD. It’s the first in new US-set thriller series featuring Lori Anderson – a bounty hunter and single mom to nine-year-old Dakota who suffers from Leukaemia.

When the hospital bills rack up, Lori has no choice but to take a job that’ll make her a fast buck. And that’s when things go wrong. The fugitive she’s chasing is JT, Lori’s former mentor – the man who taught her all she knows… the man who knows the secrets of her murky past. If you like fast moving action thrillers with kick-ass female protagonists this could be your thing!

If someone was to write your life story what would the title be?

The Girl With Two Names 😂

What’s the strangest fan question or request you’ve received?

It’s not that weird but a guy once asked me to sign the book from ‘Whiskey Bang Bang’ (the protagonist’s stripper name) and then told me how much he enjoyed that particular scene

If you could co-write with anyone in the world (alive or dead) who would it be?

Rod Reynolds

Tell me something nobody else knows about you (yet!).

I once sang on stage with Danny La Rue

Finally please recommend 3 books that you have recently read and tell me why you’ve chosen these.

The Girl In Green by Derek B Miller. Gorgeous writing and heart wrenchingly powerful.

The Devil’s Claw by Lara Dearman – fabulously claustrophobic, folklore spooky, atmospheric thriller.

Don’t Look For Me by Mason Cross – simply everything you want from an action thriller, fast, great characters, breathtaking action
